Islamabad (UNA) – Today, the media meeting on “Saudi-Pakistani relations… joint efforts to serve Islam and Muslims and combat terrorism” kicked off in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. Headed by the President of the Council of Scholars of Pakistan, Sheikh Tahir Mahmoud Ashrafi, and in the presence of representatives of news agencies and a number of scholars and intellectuals; It includes 10 main axes that discuss the importance of Saudi-Pakistani relations, the efforts of the two countries, the two brotherly leaderships and peoples to serve Islam and Muslims, and joint cooperation to defend the nation’s issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, and to promote peace on the land of Kashmir.
During the meeting, Ashrafi confirmed the completion of all arrangements and equipment for organizing the Conference on the Message of Islam in its fifth session, which will be held under the auspices of Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi, in Islamabad on Monday, April 10, under the title “Saudi-Pakistani Relations: Joint Efforts to Serve Islam and Muslims and Combat Terrorism; He warned of the danger of the spread of violence, extremism and terrorism and its impact on the security and stability of the countries of the region and the world.
He called for the importance of supporting continuous efforts to unify the word and ranks of the Islamic world, and other important points and topics at the internal and international levels, noting that the Conference on the Message of Islam is taking place at a very important stage amid difficult political conditions, economic, food and health challenges, and climate and environmental variables that the countries of the region and the world are exposed to, and that threaten the interests the economy of Arab and Islamic countries; He noted the participation of a group of prominent dignitaries, including ministers, scholars, ambassadors, politicians, intellectuals, culture and media figures from Pakistan and Arab and Islamic countries.
He highlighted the great services and facilities provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his trustworthy Crown Prince to Umrah pilgrims and visitors during the current month of Ramadan, and the Kingdom’s readiness, as usual, to organize the Hajj season this year. He commended the efforts of the Kingdom and its leadership and the services it provides for Islam, Muslims, the Two Holy Mosques, and pilgrims and Umrah performers.
