Mudug, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army with the support of the Galmudug State forces and the local forces killed over 80 Al-Shabaab militants and injured others after conducting a planned operation against terrorists’ hideout at Shabeelow area between Qaycad and Ba’adweyn area in Mudug region.
A press release from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism confirmed that the fight continued for almost 10 hours and the terrorists were heavily damaged and the area was taken over by the army.
Also, it was confirmed that 14 Al-Shabaab militiamen surrendered to the SNA after claiming that they were misled by the terror group.
The SNA with the help of the local forces recently destroyed Al-Shabaab hideouts and killed more than 32 terrorists in Qeycad area in Mudug region.
