Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Abdiwahab Ugas Hussein Ugas Khalif received at his office today WFP Representative for Somalia, Mr. Elkhidir Daluum, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and relations with the Labor Ministry, SONNA reported.
In the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WFP for the National Rehabilitation and Vulnerability Support Program(BAXNAANO), which will begin its second phase this year.
The meeting also focused on drought response and the social impact at times of Emergencies.
At last, The Minister thanked WFP for its humanitarian work in Somalia, and called on all aid agencies to expand their response to the effects of the drought.
