Mogadishu(SONNA)-67 Al-Shabaab militants were killed and others injured in a joint operation by Somali National Army’s Danab Unit and International Partners at El-Ba’ad location in middle Shabelle region overnight, SONNA reported Friday.
”Gen. Mohamed Tahalil acknowledged air strikes by the United States in support of the SNA contributed to last night’s operation.”
“Our SNA’s Danab forces with the support of our International friends conducted well panned operation against terrorists at El-ba’ad area in middle Shabelle region over night, 67 Al-Shabaab terrorist militants killed and more than that number injured”, Bihi said.
He added that the Somali National Army is gathering weapons recovered from Al-Shabaab militants and their dead bodies in the area.
