Mogadishu, (SONNA) – In a well-coordinated operation by the local forces inflicted significant losses on the Al-Shabaab terrorists in the Al-Kowsar district of Middle Shabelle, specifically targeting the village of Ceelka Nuur-Gadow, where several members of the terror group were reportedly stationed.
During the operation, three terrorists were killed and several others wounded. The forces also seized a cache of weapons and ammunition from the scene.
This targeted operation is part of a broader campaign intensified by local forces, aimed at flushing out militant leaders and sleeper cells. The campaign has gained momentum following the government’s announcement of various rewards for information leading to the capture or elimination of extremist elements.
