Beijing, (SONNA) – The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in China has proudly hosted a group of 20 young Somali diplomats who recently concluded a training and educational tour across various cities in China. The initiative aimed to enhance their understanding of China’s development strategies while strengthening their diplomatic skills.
During their visit, the diplomats explored China’s innovative development models, including advanced infrastructure, modern public service systems, and policies driving industrial growth and resource management. They engaged with Chinese officials, visited research and technology institutions, and gained deep insights into how long-term planning and coordination can translate into tangible national progress.
While in Beijing, the diplomats held an inspirational exchange session with Somalia’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Hodan Osman. The meeting served as a platform for the young professionals to share their experiences, while the Ambassador encouraged them to bring their newfound knowledge and global perspectives back home to contribute meaningfully to Somalia’s development.
Ambassador Hodan underscored the importance of empowering the next generation of Somali diplomats to become agents of change who serve their country with vision and international experience.
