Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The National Independent Electoral Commission (NIEC) today officially launched the voter registration campaign in Warsheikh district, located about 60 kilometers east of the capital, Mogadishu, in the Middle Shabelle region.
Members of the NIEC present in the district inaugurated the registration exercise in a ceremony attended by officials from the local administration.
During the launch, the commission members and district officials urged residents of Warsheikh and nearby areas to actively participate in the voter registration process, emphasizing that voting is a constitutional right and an important step in shaping the nation’s democratic future.
