Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The United Nations has congratulated the Government and the people of Somalia on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the independence day and commended the commitment of the government in building a bright future for their people.
The United Nations commends the resilience and dedication of the Somali people on this happy and wonderful independence day.
“Speaking on behalf of the United Nations community in Somalia, I greet the Somali people and once again confirm the support of the United Nations to ensure an inclusive, peaceful and prosperous Somalia,” said the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Somalia, Catriona Laing.
