President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received a phone call today from his brother, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, inquiring about his well-being following the recent attack on his convoy.
During the call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed wished President Mohamud good health and safety, reaffirming the UAE’s strong condemnation of all forms of violence, terrorism, and hatred.
He also highlighted the deep ties between the peoples of Somalia and the UAE, emphasizing the strength of their strategic partnership.
In response, President Mohamud expressed his gratitude to the UAE leader, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to the special relationship between the two nations and the importance of working together to further strengthen their bilateral ties, ensuring security and stability for both countries.
