The Military Court executes three Al-Shabaab militants in Mogadishu

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Court of the Armed Forces on Wednesday executed three Al-Shabaab militants by firing squad here in Mogadishu after finding them guilty of being member of the terrorist group and committed several criminal cases including deadly attacks, SONNA reported.

Mohamed Abdulle Abkow, Sharif Mohamed Barqadle and Mohamed Abdi Nur appeared from the court sessions several times during their trial, and they finally admitted guilt of masterminding terrorist attacks, and killings in Mogadishu during the past decade.

The Director of Public Relations of the Armed Forces Judiciary Court, Abdulkadir Isse told Somali National News Agency that two of these terrorists claimed to have fake army ranks, professions and titles like doctor for a cover up tactics, in. order to hide their dangerous purposes, saying these were involved in deadly attacks at Aden Abdulle Airport and suicide car bomb attacks at hotels in the parts before the security forces arrested them.

The execution comes as the Somali Government’s total war on Al-Shabaab militants intensified in recent months.
