Baraawe, (SONNA) — The Commander of the 6th Brigade of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army (SNA), Brig. Gen. Liibaan Yusuf Gare, has officially concluded a training program for units drawn from the 6th Brigade.
The training, which had been underway for some time, was conducted at the 6th Brigade headquarters on the outskirts of Baraawe district in the Lower Shabelle region.
The trained forces are set to join frontline operations against the Khawarij terrorist group, which has long inflicted suffering on Somali civilians. Addressing the troops, Brig. Gen. Liibaan urged them to demonstrate on the battlefield the skills and discipline they acquired during the training.
The training forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity, professionalism, and combat readiness of the Somali National Army, enabling it to effectively fulfill its national duty.
