Baidoa, (SONNA) – The Southwest State of Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has presented ten former Al-Shabaab militants who surrendered after abandoning the group.
According to officials, the defectors — who held various roles within the militant organization — chose to surrender after realizing the suffering caused by targeting civilians and the ongoing offensives aimed at eradicating the group.
The former militants have requested forgiveness from the government and the public, expressing their desire to reintegrate into society.
