Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Director General of the Immigration and Naturalization Agency, Mustafa Duhulow, recently chaired a significant meeting aimed at enhancing cooperation between the agency and the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS). The gathering focused on technical and managerial support provided by the UN to bolster the agency’s efforts.
The Director General expressed gratitude to UNSOS for their ongoing support in rebuilding Somalia, sharing development plans for the Immigration and Naturalization Agency (HSJ) regarding border management, travel procedures, and elevating the reputation of the Somali passport.
Marwo Qurat Al Aini from UNSOS commended HSJ’s efforts in improving immigration and citizenship services. She emphasized UNSOS’s commitment to continuing its support, particularly in infrastructure development, enhancing staff skills, and modernizing immigration systems.
This meeting highlights a collaborative approach to strengthening Somalia’s immigration framework and improving service delivery for its citizens.
