Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The State Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Omar Ali Abdi, today chaired a consultative meeting at his office on the draft National Defence Bill, with the participation of Colonel Hasan Ali Nur Shuutee, Chief Judge of the First-Instance Court of the Armed Forces.
The meeting was also attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and experts overseeing the draft bill. Special focus was given to constructive recommendations presented by Colonel Shuutee, which will be incorporated into the review of the legislation.
The draft National Defence Bill is now in its final stages of consultation with relevant institutions and will subsequently be submitted to the Council of Ministers and the House of the People for approval.
