Kismayo, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the Lower House of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) chaired the meeting of the Permanent Committee of the Parliament in Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubbaland State.
The discussion of the meeting discussed the preparations of the agendas of the fifth session of the parliament.
The Committee discussed ways to choose the members who will represent Somalia in the East African Community (EAC), the requirements needed from the members, among the countries of the organization, each country is required and the role it has in the organization, including the annual budget each country is required to pay, as well as all the requirements for Somalia to officially interact with this organization.
The members of the permanent committee also approved the acceleration of the old draft laws, while also putting all the agendas, the new legislative proposals submitted by the government on the focus.
