Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Farah Sheikh Abdikadir sent his congratulations to the Somali teachers on the occasion of the 21st of November which marks the Somali Teachers Day.
Minister Farah said, “Teachers are the signs of life, if there are no teachers there is no life”.
The Minister of Information, HE Daud Aweis Jama also sent his congratulations to the teachers and said that he is very proud of their capacity to withstand the civil war in Somalia and thought the children showing bravery.
The President of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said, “The government will employ 10,000 teachers before our term in office ends”.
The Government employed 3,000 new teachers early this year, and they will be in all parts of the country and has prepared the employment of 3,000 more in the 2024 budget.
