Baidoa, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), arrived today in Baidoa, the interim capital of South West State, leading a delegation comprising ministers and Members of Parliament.
Upon arrival at Shaati Gaduud Airport, the Speaker and his delegation were warmly received by the Acting President and Speaker of the South West State Assembly, along with regional ministers, lawmakers, traditional elders, and representatives from various segments of society.
During a joint press conference held at the Presidential Palace in Baidoa, Dr. Ali Said Fiqi, Speaker of the South West State Assembly, officially welcomed the Speaker and his delegation to the city.
Speaker Sheikh Adan Madobe expressed his gratitude to the leadership of South West State and the people of Baidoa for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his team.
The Speaker is expected to remain in Baidoa for the coming days, during which he will hold meetings with regional officials, traditional elders, and community representatives.
