Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), today opened the retreat of the Standing Committee, which will continue for three days.
In his opening remarks, Speaker Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) informed members that the retreat will last three days, during which the agenda for the seventh parliamentary session will be set. He urged the Standing Committee to accelerate discussions on the agenda items and to give special priority to laws critical to advancing state-building in the country.
During the retreat, members of the committee will deliberate on the agenda of the seventh session, including unfinished bills from the sixth session as well as new draft laws submitted by the government.
