Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madoobe), chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee held at Villa Hargeisa, the headquarters of the Speaker and parliamentary committees.
During the session, Sergeant-at-Arms MP Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan (Nuux) administered the oath of office to MP Ali Mahmoud Mohamed, who replaces former MP Dr. Ali Said Fiqi, recently elected Speaker of the South West State Assembly.
The Standing Committee deliberated on the schedule for the upcoming seventh parliamentary session and preparations for its opening.
Concluding the meeting, Speaker Madoobe urged lawmakers to be ready for the upcoming session, emphasizing that important legislative bills await their consideration.
