Algiers, (SONNA) – The Conference of Arab Parliament Speakers, taking place in Algiers, Algeria, has entered its second day, focusing on issues facing Arab nations, particularly the situation in Palestine.
The Speaker of the Somali Federal Parliament, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), representing Somalia at the conference, delivered a comprehensive speech. He began by thanking the Speaker of the Algerian Parliament, Ibrahim Boughali, who also serves as the Chairman of the Arab Parliaments, and the Algerian government.
Speaker Adan Madoobe emphasized the Palestinian issue and the importance of addressing it with sincerity and commitment. He affirmed Somalia’s full support for Palestine and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Furthermore, Speaker Madoobe addressed the situation in Sudan, stressing the importance of non-interference.
In closing, Speaker Sheikh Adan Madoobe highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation among Arab nations, particularly among Arab parliaments, stating that unity is essential to achieve developmental goals across all sectors in Arab countries. He urged the participating speakers to implement the resolutions that emerge from the conference.
