Baidoa, (SONNA) – The President of the Southwest State of Somalia, HE Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen) received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Somalia, Michael Nithavrianakis, and his delegation in Baidoa.
The officials discussed the plants to tackle the floods, the preparations for the second phase of the war against the Al-Shabaab terrorists, strengthening the cooperation of the two nations, and the implementation of the projects to serve the community.
The Ambassador said that his travels to Baidoa and to the Southwest State are to show solidarity and to affirm the UK’s support to the people who were affected by the floods and assist in the decentralization of government services.
The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Planning, Justice, Aid and Public Works.
