Baidoa, (SONNA) – The President of South West State, H.E Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), chaired a meeting of the South West Security Council to discuss strategies for enhancing security in the region and countering the threats posed by extremist groups targeting Somali citizens.
The meeting focused on the overall security situation in South West State, with participation from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Security, the Governor of Bay Region, the Mayor of Baidoa, and senior officials from various security agencies. Discussions centered on collaborative efforts to bolster regional stability, protect communities, and prevent the activities of extremist groups that continue to destabilize the area.
