Mogadishu, SONNA — 3rd Ulema Conference, convened by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Somalia, entered its third consecutive day in Mogadishu, bringing together more than 300 Somali scholars from across the regions, the African continent, Europe, and the United States.
Today’s sessions are centered on critical national themes, including security, social cohesion, good governance, and the continued successes of the Somali National Army in the fight against the Kharijites. The wide participation of Somali religious scholars reflects a unified commitment to strengthening national resilience and countering extremist ideologies.
Throughout the day, scholars will engage in in-depth discussions aimed at enhancing governance principles, promoting unity among communities, and reinforcing the role of religious leaders in combating the destructive ideas propagated by the Kharijites. Organizers emphasize that the conference provides an essential platform for dialogue and collaboration as the country advances efforts to consolidate peace and stability.
