Mogadishu, Somalia, SONNA) – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has lauded the East African Communities’ adoption of Somalia’s application Verification Report as a significant milestone in the steps leading to the finalization of the formal admission process.
The Head of State has further expressed his deep appreciation for the East African Community Heads of State’s historic decision and vote of confidence during the 21st Extraordinary of the East African Community Heads of State, which was held in Bujumbura, the Republic of Burundi.
“This notable development highlights Somalia’s steadfast commitment and readiness to join and meaningfully contribute to a stronger EAC. We express our profound gratitude for the continued support we have received on the journey towards a full membership”. The President has reaffirmed.
