Parliament Defence Committee Meets Security Service Commanders on National Defence Bill

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Defence Committee of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia held a meeting with security service commanders, led by the Commander of the Somali National Army, Brig. General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud.

The meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Defence Committee of the House of the People, MP Yusuf Geele Ugaas, heard suggestions from the armed forces commanders regarding the National Defence Bill, and the two sides ultimately agreed to incorporate the suggestions and views they presented into the National Defence Bill, given its importance to national defence.
