Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Daud Aweis Jama today received the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Alberto Vecchi at his office.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the strengthening of the relationship and cooperation between the two countries. The Minister of Information informed the Ambassador of the progress of the political, security, and social services that the Federal Government of Somalia has taken.
Ambassador Vecchi mentioned that Somalia and Italy have a long relationship and that his government is working to re-open the gap between the two countries, while also welcoming the progress and recovery that Somalia is making.
The Minister and the Ambassador also discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the media, culture, and tourism between the two nations, with the expectation that several programs related to these areas will be launched in Somalia and Italy soon.
