Kuwait City, SONNA – The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Da’uud Aweys Jama, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Arab League Media and Culture Capital, held in Kuwait City. The event, which recognized Kuwait City as this year’s Media and Culture Capital, brought together Ministers of Information and Culture from member states of the Arab League.
The ceremony was officially opened by the Royal Representative and Minister of Information and Culture of the Kingdom of Kuwait, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Mutairi. The meeting highlighted the commitment of Arab League leaders to fostering development and cooperation, particularly in the fields of media and culture, across member states.
During the event, Minister Da’uud Aweys Jama held separate meetings with several Arab League counterparts, outlining the Federal Government of Somalia’s policies and strategies in media and culture. He emphasized Somalia’s dedication to strengthening its media landscape and cultural heritage while aligning with broader Arab League initiatives.
