Mogadishu, SONNA – In a significant move to address the needs of children with autism, the Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Health and Social Services participated in the World Autism Day commemoration in Mogadishu. The event, organized by the Mustaqbal Special Needs Center, brought to light the critical importance of specialized care for children with this condition.
The Health Minister emphasized the necessity of dedicated attention and care for children with autism, assuring that the Ministry of Health will take an active role in monitoring their well-being. “It is imperative that we develop a focused policy for children with Autism to ensure they receive the comprehensive care they require,” said the Minister.
Praising the efforts of the Mustaqbal center, the Minister encouraged the establishment of more facilities capable of providing essential medical services to children with autism. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to improving the health landscape of Somalia and achieving national health development goals.
