The event focused on enhancing global efforts to adapt to the escalating impacts of climate change.

In her address, Ambassador Khadija highlighted Somalia’s acute vulnerability to climate change, emphasizing the nation’s dependence on international collaboration to mitigate these effects. She emphasized Somalia’s commitment to environmental conservation, including the protection of diverse species and the restoration of ecosystems, as vital measures to safeguard both the environment and the livelihoods of its people.
