Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Council of Ministers has recently convened to enact crucial provisions. The weekly meeting, led by Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama, focused on revising the Regulations on Identification and Public Registration. This revision is a step towards enhancing the nation’s administrative processes and public services.

In a parallel effort to strengthen foreign relations, the Council has also ratified a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Cooperation with Norway. This agreement marks a milestone in Somalia’s diplomatic endeavors and showcases its commitment to fostering robust international alliances.

During the session, the Council addressed national security concerns, with the Ministries of Internal Security and Defense providing updates on their ongoing operations. These reports highlighted the government’s determined efforts to dismantle the Khawarij groups and secure the nation’s stability.

Furthermore, the Council reviewed the achievements of various ministerial work trips abroad. Reports from the Ministries of Health and Social Welfare, Communications and Technology, Finance, Transport and Aviation, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation underscored the successes of these international engagements.

The Somali government’s proactive approach in addressing both domestic and foreign challenges reflects its dedication to progress and prosperity. With these latest developments, Somalia continues to pave the way for a brighter future, anchored in social improvement and global cooperation.
