Cairo – H.E. Ambassador Ali Abdi Aware, Somalia’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, took part in the senior officials’ session of the Economic and Social Council meeting in preparation for the upcoming Arab League Summits—both the regular and the developmental sessions—scheduled to be held in Baghdad on May 17.
Ambassador Aware emphasized the importance of unified Arab efforts to address current regional challenges. He noted that the meeting discussed several key issues on the agenda related to Arab economic and social cooperation, including the promotion of sustainable development across member states.
Among the topics addressed were Arab food security, blue economy initiatives, artificial intelligence, and intra-Arab trade, all aimed at enhancing regional integration and resilience.
