Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamud Beenebeene met with Sandra Lattouf to discuss aligning the implementation of UNICEF’s Country Programme (CPD 2026–2030) with Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (NTP) 2025–2029, focusing on planning, monitoring, evaluation, and coordination.
They also discussed expanding responses to the ongoing food and nutrition crisis to support vulnerable groups, including women and children, strengthening institutional capacity, and improving coordination systems.
Additionally, they stressed the importance of enhancing joint advocacy and resource mobilization to sustain development efforts amid declining global support.
