Mogadishu, Somalia – Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Balcad, has reaffirmed the strong and longstanding relationship between Somalia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), emphasizing their cooperation in key sectors such as politics, trade, and security.
“The political relationship between Somalia and the UAE is in a good place. They support us in areas such as security and economic development,” Minister Balcad stated while speaking to National Media.
He further highlighted that the partnership between the two nations extends to trade and investment, with both governments working closely to enhance economic cooperation. “The relationship between Somalia and the UAE is strong, and our collaboration spans multiple sectors, with trade and economic ties playing a crucial role,” he added.
Minister Balcad reiterated that the UAE remains a key ally in Somalia’s efforts to strengthen governance, boost economic growth, and improve national security.
