Malabo, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, officially represented H.E. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at the closing session of the African Union Mid-Year Coordination Summit held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
The high-level gathering brought together leaders from the African Union, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and AU member states to strengthen strategic cooperation and advance the implementation of the continent’s shared development goals.
Leading the Somali delegation, Minister Abdisalam underscored the importance of collective responsibility, sustainable peace, and inclusive regional integration as key pillars for Africa’s progress.
Somalia reaffirmed its strong commitment to the AU’s Agenda 2063, while advocating for justice, dignity, and equality for all African people and those of African descent globally.
