Geneva, (SONNA) — The Minister of Health and Human Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Ali Haji Adam, attended the official opening of the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA78), which kicked off today in Geneva.
Minister Dr. Ali was accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Guled AbdiJalil, along with senior departmental heads representing the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Somali delegation is actively engaging in key discussions and decisions shaping global health priorities.
This year’s assembly focuses on strengthening health systems, enhancing international cooperation, and developing strategic responses to global health challenges.
Somalia’s participation underscores the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to improving national health services and contributing to global platforms aimed at advancing public health for all.
