Algiers, SONNA – Somalia’s Minister of Finance, Bihi Iman Egeh, accompanied by Ambassador Yusuf Ahmed Hassan (Yusuf Jeego) and a high-level delegation, is attending the Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Algiers.
The high-profile event, officially opened by Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, brings together ministers and envoys from member states to deliberate on economic cooperation and development financing across the Islamic world.
Minister Bihi is expected to participate in key sessions and high-level bilateral meetings focused on Somalia’s development priorities, including economic reform and infrastructure investment. Somalia’s delegation aims to strengthen cooperation with the IsDB and unlock multi-sectoral projects that support the country’s recovery and long-term growth.
The Islamic Development Bank remains a key partner to Somalia, and the outcomes of this year’s meeting are anticipated to further bolster Somalia’s economic reform agenda and financing for national development.
