Mombasa, (SONNA) – A high-level consultative meeting between African Ambassadors based in Nairobi and Addis Ababa and the UN-Habitat agency concluded in Mombasa, Kenya. The discussions brought together Permanent Representatives to UNEP and UN-Habitat to align Africa’s priorities ahead of the second session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly (UNHA), set to take place soon in Nairobi.
The meeting aimed to harmonize global, regional, and national urban development agendas while shaping a unified African position to address the challenges and opportunities facing cities across the continent. With millions around the world lacking adequate housing and shelter, the forum emphasized the urgent need for sustainable urban solutions.
