Jeddah, (SONNA) – On the sidelines of the 21st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held a bilateral meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen strategic cooperation in politics, economy, security, health, and education. Minister Abdisalam praised Pakistan’s support for Somali students and called for expanded cooperation in security and institutional capacity building.
They also agreed to enhance the exchange of expertise in security, defense, and healthcare, as well as to facilitate easier movement of citizens between the two countries, including visa arrangements.
For his part, Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s stability and advancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
