Mogadishu – SONNA — The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) of Somalia has officially launched three advanced digital platforms aimed at strengthening the country’s national ID ecosystem.
The systems—HUBIYE Verification Platform, e-Aqoonsi Mobile App, and the Certificate Delivery System (CDS)—were unveiled at a high-level ceremony in Mogadishu led by Second Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Jibril Abdirashid Haji and Minister of Interior H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh.
The HUBIYE platform allows secure identity verification for government and private sector services. The e-Aqoonsi App provides citizens digital access to their national ID information, while the CDS streamlines the delivery of printed ID certificates.
In their remarks, leaders highlighted the milestone as part of Somalia’s commitment to advancing digital governance, improving public service delivery, and increasing accessibility and security for all citizens.
