Baghdad, (SONNA) – The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), and Iraq’s Minister of Interior, Abdul-Amir Al-Shamari, have signed a bilateral security cooperation agreement in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the two brotherly nations in the areas of security and stability, while also enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of national security institutions.
Minister Fartaag is part of the Somali delegation led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is in Iraq to participate in the Arab League Summit.
