Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Baashe Yusuf Ahmed, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs at his office. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas such as training, experience exchange, and judicial modernization.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Appeals Court for Banadir Region, the Chairman of the Banadir Regional Court, and other officials from Somalia’s judicial institutions.
Chief Justice Baashe emphasized the deep-rooted and longstanding relationship between Somalia and Egypt, expressing commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at developing and modernizing the judicial systems of both nations. He noted that both countries would engage in ongoing exchanges of training and expertise.
In response, the Egyptian judiciary officials expressed gratitude for the warm welcome they received during their visit. They acknowledged the significant progress made by Somalia’s judicial institutions and reiterated their readiness to work closely together to promote and modernize justice and legal frameworks in both countries.
