Belgrade, Serbia (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of Somalia’s Federal Government, His Excellency Hamse Abdi Barre, has extended warm congratulations to Serbia’s newly appointed Prime Minister, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Đuro Macut, and his Cabinet.

In an official statement released by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Belgrade, Prime Minister Barre expressed Somalia’s commitment to deepening diplomatic relations with Serbia, emphasizing mutual respect and shared global values. Prime Minister Barre highlighted the longstanding ties between Somalia and Serbia since the establishment of their diplomatic relations. He noted that both nations are aligned in their dedication to peace, development, and international solidarity as part of the Movement and Alliance of Neutral World Politics.

“On behalf of the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Somalia, I extend my congratulations to the Prime Minister of our friendly Republic of Serbia,” Barre stated. “Our partnership is built on a strong foundation of mutual respect and cooperation.”Acknowledging the significance of Prime Minister Macut’s appointment, Barre expressed confidence in Serbia’s new leadership during what he described as a “crucial time.” He wished the Serbian government success in addressing its national and international responsibilities.

“Somalia values its growing cooperation with Serbia and looks forward to further strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between our two countries,” the Prime Minister added. The Somali Embassy in Belgrade reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchanges between the two nations. Analysts suggest that Somalia’s proactive engagement reflects its broader strategy to foster alliances with neutral and non-aligned states in global politics.

As Serbia’s new government takes office, the message from Somalia signals a continued partnership aimed at promoting peace, development, and multilateral cooperation on the world stage.
