Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of Somalia’s National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle, held a productive meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Somalia to enhance bilateral cooperation in disaster management and response.
The discussions focused on three key areas:
•Boosting emergency preparedness and rapid response capacity
•Supporting the reconstruction of critical infrastructure
•Promoting sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities
This partnership marks an important step forward in SoDMA’s broader efforts to strengthen Somalia’s disaster risk management systems and improve its ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Both sides affirmed their commitment to long-term collaboration aimed at building resilience and supporting recovery across the country.
