Mogadishu (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abdisalam Abdi Ali, has stated that the Government and people of Somalia are closely watching the decision of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states regarding what he described as Israel’s violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.
Speaking at the OIC emergency meeting currently taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the minister emphasized that the unity of Islamic nations is inviolable.
“Today, Somalia is looking to the decision of the OIC member states. The national unity of all Islamic countries is sacred and must not be violated,” Minister Abdisalam said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, Farseen Ajaabikiyaan, affirmed that the Palestinian government fully supports Somalia’s national unity and sovereignty.
He stressed that Palestine firmly rejects Israel’s actions, describing them as violations against the unity of OIC member states.
“The State of Palestine fully supports the national unity of Somalia and strongly opposes the violations committed by Israel against the unity and sovereignty of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” he said.
