Baku, July 25, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held wide-ranging talks on Friday in Baku with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ali Asadov, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across priority development sectors.
During the discussions, the Minister and the Prime Minister exchanged views on deepening relations grounded in mutual respect, shared priorities, and constructive engagement within international platforms.
The Minister appreciated Azerbaijan’s role in strengthening ties and emphasized the importance of developing a partnership that delivers significant and enduring benefits to both countries.
On his part, Prime Minister Asadov reaffirmed that Azerbaijan places great importance on strengthening relations with Somalia and expressed satisfaction with the mutual support the two countries continue to provide each other within international organizations.
The discussions covered key areas of potential collaboration, including investment, agriculture, public services, green energy, and humanitarian assistance.
