RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA (SONNA) – The Minister of Transport and Aviation for the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Farah Nuuh, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held a productive meeting today in Riyadh with his Saudi counterpart, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser.
The meeting focused intensely on strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the transport and aviation sectors. A key point of discussion was the specific issue of launching direct and regular flights between Somalia and Saudi Arabia.
Minister Mohamed Farah Nuuh described the meeting as highly significant and instrumental in building a collaborative relationship that will benefit both nations and their brotherly peoples.
To move the cooperation forward, the Ministers agreed to establish a Joint Technical Committee. This committee will be tasked with working on the implementation of agreements and plans aimed at strengthening relations in the fields of aviation and general transport.
The working visit by the Minister and his delegation is part of the Federal Government of Somalia’s broader efforts to enhance connectivity, trade, and service exchange between Somalia and its allied countries in the region.
