Mogadishu, SONNA – The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia has officially ratified two significant agreements between the governments of Somalia and Azerbaijan, focusing on cooperation in the fields of Education, Training, and Energy. The ratification marks a pivotal step in enhancing bilateral relations and fostering development in these critical sectors.

The agreements, which were reached following discussions between the two nations, are expected to play a vital role in advancing Somalia’s education system, energy infrastructure, and skills development programs. The collaboration is set to provide new opportunities for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and technological advancements, contributing to Somalia’s long-term growth and stability.

The Council of Ministers meeting, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Saleh Ahmed Jama, highlighted the importance of these agreements in strengthening ties between Somalia and Azerbaijan. The meeting also addressed various reports on security and legal matters, underscoring the government’s commitment to addressing pressing national issues while pursuing international partnerships.

In a statement, the Council emphasized that the agreements with Azerbaijan will significantly benefit Somalia’s development agenda, particularly in areas that are essential for economic growth and human capital development. The partnership is expected to open doors for technical assistance, training programs, and investments in renewable energy projects, which are crucial for Somalia’s sustainable development.

The ratification of these agreements reflects Somalia’s ongoing efforts to build strategic alliances with international partners and leverage global expertise to address domestic challenges. The government has expressed its gratitude to Azerbaijan for its willingness to collaborate and support Somalia’s development priorities.

As Somalia continues to rebuild and strengthen its institutions, partnerships like these are seen as vital steps toward achieving economic resilience and social progress. The Council of Ministers has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the agreements, paving the way for a brighter future for the Somali people.
