Mongolia, (SONNA) – The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Mongolia, H.E Hodan Osman Abdi presented her credentials as a non-resident to the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E Ts. Ankhbayar.
Somalia and Mongolia formally established diplomatic relations on 28 February 1971. Over the past five decades, our two nations have shared a bond rooted in mutual respect, the principles of international cooperation, and a shared vision for peace and development.
Mongolia, with its rich cultural heritage and strong tradition of diplomacy, continues to play a constructive role on the international stage—particularly in multilateral fora where our countries have often stood side by side on matters of global importance. From peacekeeping to sustainable development, Somalia and Mongolia have collaborated through the United Nations and other international platforms, advancing causes that promote global stability and justice.
“As I begin my tenure, I look forward to strengthening our bilateral ties, expanding opportunities for cooperation in trade, education, and cultural exchange, and further deepening our collaboration in the multilateral arena,” Ambassador Hodan said.
“My sincere thanks to the Government of Mongolia for the warm welcome, and I look forward to engaging with this beautiful country and its people in the months and years ahead,” the Ambassador added.
