Addis Ababa, (SONNA) – The State Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, met with Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, H.E. Ahmed Attaf, on the eve of participating in the African Union’s Executive Council meeting. They discussed enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting covered several key topics, including strengthening bilateral relations, exploring new avenues for partnership and joint coordination, reviewing previous agreements between the two countries, and emphasizing the importance of continued mutual coordination during their non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council, particularly within the framework of the A3+ group to effectively amplify Africa’s voice in international forums.
