Ankara, (SONNA) – The Somali Embassy in Ankara has announced the arrival of Somali students in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the Government of Azerbaijan’s Intergovernmental Scholarship Program.
Nineteen students have already reached Baku, with another nine expected shortly, bringing the total to 28 scholarship recipients this year. They will pursue studies in petroleum sciences, engineering, health, and computer science.
The students were warmly welcomed at Baku airport by Mr. Ibrahim Ali Abshir, First Secretary of the Somali Embassy in Ankara, along with representatives of host universities.
The Embassy congratulated the students and wished them success in their academic journey, expressing confidence that they will contribute meaningfully to Somalia’s development.
